10wt Salmon rod

I am always on the lookout for a battle stick for salmon. The ideal rod need not be the best casting rods, but durability is a must. The best set up is a lightweight fast action 10wt under $100.00 which is very hard to find..So that brings me to why I am posting today. I was thumbing through the American Angler magazine while dreaming of fishing and ran across a ad for Wild Water Fly Fishing. I looked up there website and found there prices to be very reasonable. There 10wt 4 piece saltwater rod looks on paper that it would fit the bill and only costing $108.00 it is worth a try. I will review more once I get one in my hands though.

Indiana Recap

We had awful weather traveling down to Indianapolis this past weekend what should of took 6.5 hours took us almost 10, but that was with a stop at Cabala's. The high light was getting to meet April Vokey, what a wonderful lady.Kayla was so wound up she almost couldn't stand herself, then when we got there I don't think she could speak. April meet Kayla with a big hug and smile and she was so wonderful to Kayla. They talked and tied a fly together,Kayla spend most of the day with her in her booth. It is so wonderful to have such a class act that Kayla can look up to. Brooke spent the day in a casting clinic with Rebecca which gave me the day to wonder the aisles. To spent allot of time in the Mystic rod company booth looking and casting most all there rods.I was impressed with there craftsmanship and feel and although they have a limited dealer network these rods are far above in quality than there price tag lead them to be.I am ordering two rods to try out for the spring but I have  imagination I will be fully endorsing them by summer.I also meet Matt from Bone Yard Fly Gear  and took a look at all his cool gear.I have added some links to the side bar you will want to check out. Remember there are some good shows coming up in our area and with the dead lock winter has right now what better thing do you have to do.
